FRIT 7233: Book Trailer
During FRIT 7233 we had to create a book trailer and storyboard about a book the was important to us. At the time my students had been reading “The Great Gatsby”. It has always been a favorite of mine and at the same time my students were struggling with it. I felt that would be a great time to kill two birds with one stone. I loved the book, so developing the storyboard was relative easy for me. What I did find difficult was the recording of my voice. Using audacity to record my voice, it took quite a few takes as I had a hard time staying on script, and getting my voice right. It made me wonder how often I go off script in class while teaching, and I am now getting ready to start putting my lectures online so that I my students all get the same instructions.
This artifact showed mastery of standards 3.2 & 3.7. In this assignment I created a presentation that used multiple media tools for content specific materials for students taking 8th grade English. However, while it was specifically for the students, this screencast can be used as a way of communicating to parents and the local community about the curriculum of our middle school.
FRIT 7234 - Screencast
For this assignment, I showed learners how to create discussions on their e-class pages for their students. E-class is a program that our county as well as many universities use for curriculum and instruction. Recently, we have been ask to start putting more material online for students who are absent, as well for inclement weather days. Along with showing them how to create these discussions they were also shown how grade them and give feedback. In this assignment I found the most challenging thing to be the recording. I constantly had to restart the screencast because of outside noise and stuttering. One thing I would do if I were to make one again would be to write the script out. It is a tedious step that you may feel you can live without, however it'll save time in the long run and ensure that the message is conveyed in the way you want it to.
This artifact showed my mastery of standards; 3.2, 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7. The screencast was made as a digital media tool that can be shared with fellow teachers and administrators to ensure that all staff were able to be in compliance with the new county guidelines of using the web tool e-class correctly int the classroom. While the examples in the video were that of social studies, any content can be used and implemented. The video also has a trouble shooting aspect to it as teachers can revert back to the video as they come across difficulties with creating their own modules.

FRIT 7232 ONLINE MODULE
The screenshot below is of my online module for FRIT 7232 “Depth of Knowledge”. During the Spring 2017, I continued my work on my instructional design plan that I started in FRIT 7231. I created an online module based off of the plan I had created. The website went through five modules, with each module the learner had and objective and a assessment. Google forms allowed for me to get a better understand of how the learners were doing, and PadLet gave me the ability get feedback from the learners on how the module could be better. The most difficult of this assignment was finding the right web 2.0 tool to help with the assessing the learners. The next time that I create a module such as this I want to make sure that I incorporate multiple web 2.0 tools to assess my learners. I felt as if I got repetitive with using google forms and Padlets continuously.
This artifact shows my mastery of standards 3.2, 3.3, and 3.7. In this assignment I created a resource that will help the overall learning experience for my students. It blended a mixture of online and blended learning as teachers will use the knowledge gained from the module to create assessments in the classroom. The questionnaires obtained after completion of the modules will help guide my thinking for any future modules that I create, thus making it a collaboration between me and my fellow teachers.
