FRIT 7232 Technology Evaluation Plan
In Fall of 2015, I worked with a group of classmates to evaluate a county Technology Plan in my Visionary Leadership in Instructional Technology class. I found this particular assignment to be fun because it allowed me to understand exactly how a particular county is planning to update their technology to help students and teachers alike grow. For this assignment we used Forsyth County Schools, and while they were a few areas in which they could grow, they had a rather detailed and progressive plan. Going forward as a educator, I believe that I will start reviewing a county's technology plan before accepting a job.
The technology plan helped me show mastery of sub-standards 1.2 & 1.4 of visionary leadership. I was able to get an understanding of how strategic planning effects productions as me and my team knowledgable and skillfully analyzed the three-year technology plan of Forsyth County. Using the rubrics to help evaluate the plan, me and my and my team was able to give feedback on what was working, as well as what they should enhance such as; linking the county mission to their document when referring to it, as well as explaining in detail how each goal will increase curriculum and instruction, and career readiness. Doing so gave me a great understanding of what diffusion of innovation and change looks like.

FRIT 7232 Grant Proposal
In Fall of 2015, I worked with a group of classmates to create a grant proposal in my Visionary Leadership in Instructional Technology class. We decided to propose a grant to purchase ipads and to create professional development trainings on using them effective in the classroom. The plan included; cost of trainings, the amount of teachers in the trainings, and the amount of students that will be served. This was my first experience with grant applications and I did not understand how difficult they could be. I took a lot of work to get this assignment completed. Even after the assignment was completed I continued to review the assignment and saw places where we could have done better. The reason for have a great grant proposal is so that the readers understand exactly what it is that your are a planning to do with the grant resources and how that will help you complete your goal.
The Grant Proposal shows mastery of standard 1.1 & 1.3. of the visionary leadership standard. In this artifact me an my team created a vision of how teaching and learning would be accomplished with the use of technology for a county. Once we decided what technology would be needed in order for us to reach our goals as a county, we created a grant proposal. That grant proposal explained; our goals, needs, funding, what the funding would be used for, and who would be benefit from it. I
